Individual Beginning Art Lessons (Ages 5-8) 

This fun, interactive course familiarizes young students with fundamental art skills and tools. Students will be introduced to: 

• drawing with pencil and charcoal 

• painting with acrylic and watercolors 

• basic design and composition principles 

• collage 

• working with common tools found in an art studio 

• basic color theory, including the use of primary, secondary, cool, and warm colors 

Students will be given opportunities to explore and create according to their interests. If you have questions about your child’s skills/needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out. 

Individual Advanced Art Lessons (Ages 9+) 

This hands-on, structured course is designed to help young aspiring artists develop a variety of skills, including: 

• the effective use of line and value in drawing 

• drawing from observation and developing good sketchbook habits 

• how to create effective compositions 

• becoming comfortable with multiple mediums, such as pencil, ink, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic paints 

• drawing with perspective 

• head drawing 

• color mixing 

Students will be encouraged to push themselves while applying principles but will also have the flexibility to create and explore according to their interests. 

$35 per 1 hour lesson 

$20 upfront supply fee for drawing materials

Materials include pencils, pens, vine charcoal, sharpener, erasers, sketchbook, and paper. 

As previously stated, students will explore various mediums during classes, for which I will provided the needed materials. However, if your child wishes to focus on / develop a specific medium such as acrylics or oil paints, I will provide a list of additional supplies to procure. 

In the subject line of the payment, please include the student’s name (ex. Jane Doe’s Art Lessons).

Cancellation Policy: A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) will incur a $20 fee. Payment of the late cancellation fee is due before the next scheduled lesson. Exceptions may be considered for emergencies or unavoidable circumstances. No-shows may result in the full lesson fee being charged.
