AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR

Hi, I’m Sarah Noble. I’m an author/illustrator currently based in northern Utah. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Brigham Young University and graduated with distinction from the Children’s Book Illustration MA program from the Cambridge School of Art in the UK.

Much of my work draws inspiration from nature. Growing up surrounded by mountains, I’ve had a lot of opportunities to observe animals and immerse myself in their worlds. My goal is to create little windows into these worlds with my art. I work mostly in traditional media—mainly with oil pastels, although I also enjoy working with pen/watercolor.

My debut picture book, As Strong as the River, was published by Flying Eye Books in 2021 and longlisted for the 2022 Klaus Flugge Prize, alongside many wonderful books. Look out for my newest picture book, Piper & May Take a Breath, coming from Beach Lane Books (Simon & Schuster) in Summer 2027!
